Since it's Incorporation in 1968, Set-O-Matic has been a leading supplier and innovator in the coin laundry industry, as well as other areas of vending. The founders of this family owned business have been in the industry since 1949. They are still very much active, and together with the 2nd generation, have been in every facet of the coin laundry/vending industry, as distributors, manufacturers representatives and operators of laundry equipment. This company was formed to create and distribute products it knew from first hand experience, were required for the industry. We are very proud of the long line of products and technology that we are responsible for introducing:

Up until 1976, all of our products were mechanical or electro-mechanical. In 1976 we introduced Card Technology to the Coin Laundry Industry. In 1977 we had the first central control meters, with readers for magnetically encoded cards. By 1983, we were fully embarked on a program of electronic, cutting edge products for the coin laundry industry. By the early nineties, our electronics were factory installed by more coin operated laundry appliance manufactures, than any other supplier of electronics.

In 1995, we introduced our ChipCash™ System, a multi-card kit for the vending industry. It can convert any single machine to operate with a credit card, smart card (debit) , with coin or any or all of these items. This unique multi-platform design, can allow your system to grow by a simple plug-in of an appropriate inexpensive peripheral.

We are developers of closed smart card systems and can deliver systems, off the shelf, or create a system for your specific needs. In addition to smart cards, we supply credit card units, off-line.

The "Set-O-Matic team" has manufacturing facilities in New York and Israel. From these two locations we supply all of our electronics, sheet metal fabrication and our software, including PC application programs. We maintain a toll free, no charge, help center for hardware and software assistance. It is our ongoing commitment to a quality product, as well as TOTAL product support.

More About Us

"West Side Story" We were selected by partnership of MONDEX (MASTERCARD), VISA, CHASEBANK and CITIBANK to design and build unattended laundry/vending terminals. These open system, certified units are being used exclusively in their joint roll out program in the NYC West Side. Our units have been installed in selected apartment buildings in this area, and customers no longer need to worry about having change to do their laundry. (see Open System-Mondex-Visa)
